About the play

"To be or not to be?" wasn't the half of it! This brilliant and absurdist comedy - rocketing Tom Stoppard to playwright stardom in the late 60s - follows two 'minor' Shakespearean gentlemen when they're not on Hamlet's stage ("every exit being an entrance somewhere else") and doing their best to make sense of a world tantalisingly just beyond their grasp. Familiar? Intriguing, absorbing, most definitely a play to see before you are "not to be".
